Soleus is onether important muscle in our body that all people expecially athletic it's kind the same as gastrocnemius because of the place that they located . This muscle can be found at the below the gastrocnemius, that flexes the foot to pint the toes downward. the origin of this muscle is proximal half of posterior surface of tibia a long soleal line. The insertion of this muscle is posterior calcaneus via calcaneal tendon. The main role of this muscle for athletic is to, if they want run very fater, they need to work on this muscle so badly.
